CLEARING OUT THE OVERGROWTH
Now the lake can be seen from the porch of the Library!
You can even see the beach/swimming area once again!
The lake is so beautiful. Imagine sitting on a comfy chair on the Library porch and gazing at the shimmering, peaceful water....
And this is the view from the Library porch prior to clear-out. So much weedy undergrowth had sprouted over the years, you couldn't see the beautiful lake!
All the underlayment has been applied and the green metal roof is on the porch!
(The all-new "Rec Hall" is in the background.)
Working on the roof of the main building before the snow flies! You can see the edge of the roof.
What a stunning fieldstone chimney! It was constructed by one of the few Vermont stone masons at the time the Library was built.
Here's the rear of the Library now that the overgrowth has been cleared. We'll need to plant some not-too-tall-growing evergreens to soften the look.
You can see a good portion of the roof here, with the underlayment at the far end and the green metal over most of the building.
